Overview

Eg Lehsho Ewl̄ was founded durring the early 14th century in spring of the year 1328, by Bharmun Zÿhbafral. The establishment of Eg Lehsho Ewl̄ suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Eg Lehsho Ewl̄ was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Eg Lehsho Ewl̄ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Eg Lehsho Ewl̄ is buildings are built arround a single restrictive flagstone mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Eg Lehsho Ewl̄'s millitarily questionable fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Before you’ve even set foot into the heart of Eg Lehsho Ewl̄, you can smell it. The incense. It hangs about the town like a cloud. Monks, priests, and clerics are everywhere, all dedicated to the same god, all preforming the same rituals to bless and anoint building,s streets, people, animals, you name it they are or have blessed it. The same holysymbols is everywhere too. Its on buildings, on people, and even branded into livestock. This town certainly loves its god.

Cultural Notes

Eg Lehsho Ewl̄'s bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Eg Lehsho Ewl̄ was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Eg Lehsho Ewl̄ lost 111 people, 170 livestock, and 63 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 198, when members of Eg Lehsho Ewl̄'s militia enacted an operation to secure a particular mine to utilize it for a specific task. The operation was complicated by a natural disaster interrupted the operation, shattering unit cohesion. The conflict ended with the defense of the mine against a siege, which ended in a crushing defeat for Eg Lehsho Ewl̄'s forces. The war is remembered in legend by Eg Lehsho Ewl̄'s bards, historians, and legend keepers.
